Indian Journal of Leprosy

  • A quarterly published journal on Leprosy research, innovations and advances

  • Prior to 1984 , the journal was published as Leprosy In India- Quarterly Notes (since 1929)

  • This was published by Dr Ernest Muir, doyen of leprologists, which led to birth of Leprosy in India in July 1929.

  • Over the years, this became highly cited and renamed as Indian Journal of Leprosy in January 1984 by Dr Dharmendra (Editor, IJL).

  • Indian Journal of Leprosy is the only Journal of repute after closure of International Journal of leprosy
